I watched a lot of the events in this book play out either as a reporter or an interested observer of the industry. In that sense, several chapters in this book bring back both welcome and unwelcome memories from the last 15 years. But Smith does an admirable job organizing all of the disparate threads, building up the relevant characters, and making the case for why this is a story worth telling.
